Port of Departure: Portland, ME
Destination: Anacortes, WA
Proposed Route:
North, along Nova Scotia, through the Straight of Canso and into the Gulf of St. Laurence. Northeast between Newfoundland and Labrador and out into the Labrador Sea to Nuuk in Greenland. Up through Davis Straight and along Greenland to Upernavic then West across Baffin Bay to Lancaster Sound.
From Lancaster sound, we’ll follow route 5 through the Northwest Passage, but is entirely dependent on ice conditions and weather.
We’ll leave the Arctic through the Bering Straight and stop in Nome, AK
Sarah Sarah will stop at any point along the route at ports of necessity or opportunity until reaching our destination of Anacortes, WA.
